Hairpin Lace Crochet Jewelry

This crochet pattern uses Bullion bock crochet stitches. How to do the bullion block stitch: Ch 3, yo and insert hook around ch 3, pull through yarn so you have 3 loops on hook, repeat 6 more times, yo and pull through all loops on hook, slip stitch in same st as ch 3 is worked on to complete the stitch.

This hairpin lace pattern requires 45 loops on each side. Use the 3rd largest setting on the heirloom.

Connect each loop with 1 sc in loop and 1 sc around loop. Once completed 2 loops each side, crochet on the loop as follows: 1 sc in loop and 1 sc around loop + 1 bullion stitch. Continue until you have 45 loops each side.

Crochet off the loom as follows:

One side: 9 loops together with sc, ch 3, 3 loops together with sc, ch 3, 3 loops together with sc, ch 1, 15 loops together with sc, 1 ch, 3 loops together with sc, ch 3, 3 loops together, ch 3, 9 loops together, ch 10, sl st in 1st sc (in the first 9 loops together).

Crochet around as follows: 1 hdc + 1 bullion block stitch in sl st, in 3-ch sp crochet: (1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 bullion block stitch, 1 hdc), 1 hdc + 1 bullion block st in sc, 1 hdc in 1-ch sp, and in 10 ch sp crochet: (1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 bullion block stitch, 1 hdc)x3, sl st in 1st hdc. Fasten off.

Begin crochet in unworked loops opposite side:

*3 loops together with hdc, ch 5*, continue between ** to end. Turn.

In hdc crochet: Hdc + 1 bullion block st, and in 5 ch sp crochet: (1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 bullion block stitch, 1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 bullion block st, 1 hdc). Continue to end. Fasten off. Weave in ends. This piece can be used as a necklace or as foot and ankle decor.
