Crochet Materials

With crochet hook size 2.50.

Crochet yarn: 100 % wool 5 ply Brown.

Crochet Stitches (This pattern uses US crochet stitches).

Chains (Ch)

Single Crochet (Sc)

Half Double Crochet (Hdc)

Slip stitch (Sl st)

Stitches (Sts or st).

Crochet Octopus Pattern

Ch 3, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in ch 2.

Round 1. Ch 1, 2 sc in each sts around, sl st in ch 1.

Round 2. Ch 1, 1 sc in same st as ch 1, * 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts* repeat between ** to end, sl st in ch 1.

Round 3. Ch 1, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st*, repeat between ** to end, sl st in ch 1.

Continue making octopus arms. The arms are made by making chains, crochet down the chains and sl st back and forth across petals to give the arms a certain twist.

Making arms. *Ch 10, miss 2 chs, 1 dc in next 4 chs, 1 hdc in next 4 chs, 1 sl st in next sc*, turn, sl st across st where ch 10-arm began, sl st in next 2 sc, repeat between **, sl st in next sc, turn, sl st across base of both 10-ch arm, sl st in next 2 sc, repeat between **, sl st in sc, turn and sl st until you into 2nd sc from 10 ch-sp until you have 8 arms, sl st in next sc, turn, sl st to 7th arm. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Attach eyes.
