Crochet hook size 3.0 mm
Yarn: Red, green, and brown in 100 % Acrylic 4 ply
Scissors
Sewing needle
1 barbecue stick.
Crochet Rose Pattern Instructions
This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.
Begin crochet rose petals. Crochet all up 9 rose petals.
Row 1. With red yarn, ch 3, turn, 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Turn. (13)
Row 2. 2 hdc in dc, hdc in every dc until last dc, 2 hdc in last st. Turn. (15).
Row 3. Hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 6 hdc. Turn. (18).
Row 4. (Sc + ch 2) in every st across. Do not turn.
Row 5. Crochet down and up the row 4 as follows: 3 hdc down, 1 hdc in the middle, 3 hdc up. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Assemble with a sewing needle and thread. Roll the rose petal over each other and secure with slip stitches. Weave in ends.
Rose stem.
Use the barbecue stick as stem and attach it to rose. Secure with a sewing needle and brown yarn. Twist brown yarn around the barbecue stick until it is all covered. Fasten off.
Crochet Leaf. Make 4.
Row 1. With Green yarn, ch 3, turn, 12 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Turn. (13)
Row 2. 2 hdc in dc, hdc in every dc until last dc, 2 hdc in last st. Turn. (15).
Row 3. Hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 6 hdc. Turn. (18).
Row 4. Crochet down and up row 3 with 4 sc, sl st in the middle, and 4 sc up the row.
Row 5. *3 ch-picot, sl st in next 2 sts*, repeat between ** across. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Attach leaves to stem using a sewing needle. Fasten off.
