Crochet Kangaroo Patterns
This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.
Crochet Kangaroo legs.
Make 4.
Row 1. Ch 9, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining ch to end. Turn.
Row 2 – 9. Sc in sc to end. Turn.
Row 10. Sc in next 5 sc. Turn.
Row 11 – 16. Sc in next sc. Turn.
Row 17 – 19. Sc in next 3 sc. Turn.
Row 20. Sc in 3 sc, ch 11, turn, 3 sc in next 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs, sc in 3 sc. Turn.
Row 21. Sc in sc to last sc, 3 sc in last sc. Turn.
Row 22. Sc in next 4 sc, sl st in scs to last 5 sc, sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in last sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Stitch 2 and 2 kangaroo legs together using a sewing needle. Leave top open so you can fill in the hobby fill. Stitch top together.
Crochet Kangaroo arms.
Make 4.
Row 1. Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs to end. Turn.
Row 2. Sc in sc, sc in turning ch (6 sc all up). Turn.
Row 3-10. Sc in sc to end. Turn.
Row 11. Sc in sc to end, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs, sc in next 2 sc, (2 sc tog) x 2. Turn.
Row 12. Sl st in next 2 sl sts, sl st in next 2 sc, sc in next 7 sc, sc in turning ch (8 sc). Turn.
Row 13. Sc in 8 sc. Turn.
Row 14. Sc in sc. Crochet up the last 2 rows with sl st. Turn.
Row 14. Sl st in 2 sl st, ch 6, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs, sl st in sc. Turn.
Row 15. Sk sl st, Sc in 5 sc, sc in turning ch (6 sc). Turn.
Row 16. Sc in 6 sc, sl st in next sc. Turn.
Row 17. Sk sl st, sc in 5 sc, 3 sc in last sc. Turn.
Row 18. Sc in 3 sc, sl st in next sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
With a sewing needle stitch 2 and 2 of the arms together and fill in with craft stuffing.
Crochet Kangaroo tail
Round 1. Ch 2, turn, 10 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in 1st ch.
Round 2 – 17. Sc in sc all around. Fill in the stuffing.
Begin decreasing.

Crochet Kangaroo body
Round 1. Ch 2, turn, 11 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2. 2 sc in each sc all around.
Round 3. Sc in sc all around.

Round 5 – 10. Rep row 3.
Round 11. Sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc tog, sc in sc until last 12 sc, 2 sc tog, sc in remaining sc.

Crochet Kangaroo Ears.
Round 1. Ch 6, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs to end. Turn.

Round 3-5. Sc in sc. Turn.

Stitch head, body, arms, legs, ears, and tail together using a sewing needle.
Crochet Kangaroo Eyes
Crochet hook size 3.0, white 100 % cotton yarn.
Round 1. Ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2. Sc in sc all around.
Round 3. 2 sc in each sc around (16 sc).
Round 4. Sc in next 8 sc, sl st in next 8 sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Stitch together 2 and 2 together using a sewing needle. Fill in with stuffing.
Begin crochet eyelids
Attach blue yard with sl st in last row of eye. Use crochet hook size 3.0.
Round 1. Sc in next 8 sc. Turn.
Round 2. Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat all around. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Stitch eyes on Kangaroo head using a sewing needle. Use black yarn 100 % cotton and stitch pupils and eyelids.
Crochet kangaroo pouch
Crochet hook size 4.0. Red/Purple yarn chunky.
Row 1. Ch 11, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs to end. Turn.
Row 2. Sc in sc, sc in turning ch (11 sc). Turn.
Row 3 – 6. Sc in sc to ends. Turn.
Row 7. Sl st in next 2 sc, sc in next 7 sc, sl st in next sc. Turn.
Row 8. Sk sl st, sc in 7 sc, sl st in next st. Turn.
Row 9. Sk sl st, sl st in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, sl st in next sc. Turn.
Row 10. Sk sl st, sc in 5 sc, sl st in next st. Turn. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Stitch onto Kangaroo tummy. Row 1 is the opening.
Kangaroo hair
Slip stitch curly brown 100 % acrylic yarn to top of Kangaroo head using crochet hook size 3.0. Wrap yarn hair to hold it together as picture shows.
Kangaroo Nail-polish and lipstick.
Yes, you read correctly. This Kangachick is wearing nail-polish and lipstick. Use pink yarn and a sewing needle and stitch on ‘nail-polish’ and ‘lipstick’. Its the little extra that makes a pattern great. :) It doesn’t get any cuter than this!!!
