Begin Crochet Heart Shape

Foundation row: ch 6, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 chs, turn.

Row 1. Sc in turning sc, sc in scs until middle of 3-scs, 3 scs in middle sc, sc in remaining scs (hint: skip turning ch foundation row). Turn.

Row 2-5. Repeat row 1.

Row 6. Sc until middle sc of 3 sc, sc in middle sc, ch 5, tun, sl st back to middle sc, sl st in sc, sc in remaining scs, ch 1, sc in same sc as last sc, continue crochet up the side of heart shape as follows: (ch 3, sc in next st) x 4, continue crochet top of heart shape as follows: (ch 1, sl st in next st) x 7, crochet down side of heart: (ch 3, sc in next st) x 4, ch 1, sc in 1st sc row 6.

Row 7. Sc in sc until middle ‘5 ch tail’, ch 5, sl st in tip of ‘5 ch tail’, ch 5, sc in next sc, sc in remaining sc until 3 ch sp. In 3 ch sps crochet: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc. When you reach the top of heart sp crochet in 1 ch sp only, 1 sc in all 1 ch sp until you reach 3 ch sp. In 3 ch sps crochet 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, sl st in 1st sc beginning of row 7.

Row 8. Sc in sc, sl st in 5 ch sp, in 5 ch sp crochet: (3 ch picot, sl st in 5 ch sp) x 3, sl st in sl st between 5 ch sps, 5 ch picot, sl st in last sl st, sl st in 5 ch sp, in 5 ch sp crochet (3 ch picot, sl st in 5 ch sp) c 3, sc in sc until last sc (before sc in 3 ch sp row 7), sl st in last sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends using a sewing needle.

Attach fluffy orange yarn and sc around the heart shape. Slip stitch long strings of fluffy orange yarn in picots at bottom of heart shape. Attach craft eyes. Slip stitch mouth with orange yarn.
