Crochet Halter top materials
Crochet yarn: I used chunky yarn from Fashion Plus’s amazing value pack of 100 % Mixed fibres.
PS. Any chunky yarn will do or any yarn you can use with a crochet hook 5.00 mm.
Crochet hook: 5.0 mm and 4.00 mm
Broomstick thick knitting needle (about 20 mm).
Crochet Halter top pattern ~ step by step with pictures
This Halter top is perfect to wear on top of a bikini, a singlet, or a bathing suit. I used quite chunky yarn and crochet hook 5.0 mm and 4.00 mm. In this pattern, I use the stitch ‘chainless single crochet’. You can also use a regular foundation chain. The front consists of 3 motifs and solomon’s chains between the motifs. You only need to apply step 1 of Solomon’s knot to complete this chain. If you don’t want to use Solomon’s knot, you can use regular chains.
I also use Broomstick technique in this motif.
Front halter top motifs
Row 1. 15 chainless single crochet. Turn, 1 sc in 3rd sc from hook, continue to end, sl st in last sc. Turn and sl st in 1st sc.
Row 2. In each 3-chainless sc space crochet 3 hdc. Turn.
Row 3. Ch 2, 1 dc in same st as ch 2, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st*, rep between to end.

Row 5. Rep row 3.

Use Solomon’s knot technique (only step 1 of Solomon’s knot is necessary to get this result) and crochet back and forth between the two halves (see image below). You can also use regular chains.

Connect the 9th bullion block st together using a sewing needle. This will be the straps that will go behind the head. Stitch the remaining of the straps down each side of the back motifs from the 5th bullion block stitch on the remaining straps.
I attached to buttons to the sides to hold this halter top together.
I really enjoyed making this Halter Crochet Top. Please share it if you liked it too. :)
