Foundation Row (FR)

Skip (sk).

Space (sp)

Crochet Clam Stitch Instruction

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation. 

Clam stitch needs a multiple of 10 sts + 2, and add 2 chs for foundation chain. In this example, chain 24.

FR. Ch 24, 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end. Turn.

Row 1. Ch 3, *1 dc in in next 5 dc, sk 2 dc, x 2 in next dc, 2-dc tog in same dc, sk 2 dc*, repeat between ** to end, ending with 1 dc in ch 3.

Row 2.  Ch 3, * x 2, 1 dc in 2-dc tog, 1 dc in next 5 dc*, repeat between ** to end, end with 1 dc in ch 3. Turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, *sk 2 dc, x 2 in next dc, 2-dc tog in same dc, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in next 5 dc*, repeat between ** to end, ending with 1 dc in ch 3. Turn.
