The Crochet Pinwheel Doily has been published in Afghans and Doilies. The pattern in this book is a bit difficult to understand from row 13 onwards, so I have simplified it in the pattern above. Each row you increase each time you have to ch 6 and sc in loop as there is an increase in 6-ch loops each row. This way, the chain loops cover more and more of the outer edges until they cover all around the doily.

Crochet row 1. With light purple ch 17, continue in dark blue and crochet 8 more chains. All up 25 chs.

Crochet row 2-29. 1 dc in dc to end.

Fold up the dark blue lengthwise and stitch it to the light purple using a sewing needle. This is the ocean and the light purple is the sky.

Crochet waves. Use crochet hook size 2.5 and dark blue yarn. Attach to side of dark blue where it you stitch it to the light purple.

Ch 2, sl st diagonally 1 row above the edge, ch 2, sk 1 st in dark blue edge, sl st in next st. Repeat to end.

Attach fluffy blue yarn to stitch ocean waves.

Crochet Octopus

Crochet hook size 3.0

Octopus head

Use chunky orange yarn. Make 2.

Row 1. Ch 3, turn, 10 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3.

Row 2. 1 sc in each dc around, sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.

Stitch the two parts together with filling.

Octopus eyes

Use white yarn.

Ch 3, turn, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in ch 2, sl st scs together until you have a ball. Stitch a black thread in the middle as pupils. Stitch to Octopus. Use Orange bulky yarn (same as Octopus) and stitch on eyelids.

Octopus arms

Make 4.

You can make them in different length. I made 3 x 25 chs and 1 x 15 chs.

Once you made the chains, turn and crochet hdc around the chs to end of chain.

Stitch the octopus arms on where you want to create the story of your fisherman’s cup cozy. I stitched the arms on last when all the other pieces were on. I stitched one arm taking the fisherman’s hat and one around the fisherman’s kayak (see image).

Ch 3, turn, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch, turn and sl st through turning 3-ch. Attach to side of head.

Crochet eyes

With black and crochet hook size 1.00:

Ch 2, turn, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sl st through the middle. Stitch onto face. Make eyelids using same yarn color as head and stitch over the top and bottom of eye.

Crochet nose

Ch 2, turn, 1s sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in turning ch using a sewing needle until the nose is a round ball. Stitch to face.

Make the pipe

I used 28 gauge copper wire in black and gold and shaped the pipe.

Crochet boots

Use 2.5 mm in black yarn. Make 2.

Row 1. Ch 9, turn, 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end. (8). Turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc to end. Turn,

Row 3-4. Ch 3, 1 dc in 3 dc, turn. Fasten off.

Stitch on the leg to create the foot.

Crochet Jacket

Back:

Row 1. Ch 6, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each chs to end. Turn.

Row 2-10. Sc in sc. Turn.

Front: As back except finish after row 8. Stitch row sides of back and front together.

Arms:

Row 1. Attach with sl st in back top where shoulder blade is: Ch 6, attach at front, sc in sc to ch 6, sc in each 6 chs.

Crochet Bridal Choker Necklace Instruction.

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Set the Heirloom on 3rd smallest setting.

Step 1. 60 loops each side with sc in the middle.

Step 2. Take work off the loom. Crochet as follows one side: *10 loops tog with sc, fasten off, sk 10 loops*, repeat between ** to end.  Crochet as follows other side: *sk 10 loops, 10 loops tog with sc, fasten off*, repeat between ** to end. Make sure the 10 loops together is directly opposite the 10 loose loops.

Step 3. Fold the 10 loops together diagonally across to opposite side 10 loops together and connect them with 3 x sc around the scs that held the 10 loops together originally (this is called a 10 loops tog fold). Fasten off. Fold all 10 loops together the same way. Crochet free loops together as follows: (3 loops tog with sc, ch 5) x repeat until you reach a 10 loops tog fold, ch 5, 3 sc in 3 sc, ch 5, continue crochet 3 loops tog with sc + ch 5.

Step 4. Crochet other side as follows: Attach yarn in 10 loops tog fold with 3 sc, ch 5, (3 loops tog with sc, ch 5) x rep until the next 10 loops tog fold, 3 sc in 10 loops tog fold, ch 5. Rep to end. Fasten off.

Step 5. Crochet border. Reattach yarn in 3 loops tog with sc, hdc in same st, 3 ch picot in same st, 8 hdc in every 5 ch sp, hdc + 3 ch picot in sc holding 3 loops together, continue until you get to 10 loops tog fold, then sk 1 sc, hdc + 3-ch picot in middle sc, sk sc, 8 hdc in 5 ch sp. Repeat until you have crochet border all around. Fasten off. Weave in end.

Attach a string of yarn in the outer 3-ch picots. Attach the strings together at the back of neck. Congratulations on finishing the Crochet Choker Necklace.

This Jellyfish Crochet Pattern uses UK stitch abbreviation.

Don’t know how to Hairpin Crochet. Learn the hairpin crochet technique here. 

With green yarn and heirloom on 2nd smallest setting crochet 13 loops each side and attach with dc each time you flip the loom. Make 2 motifs with 13 loops each side. Attach one of the sides of the first motif along one of the sides the second motif by sl st one loop together each side. Secure with single crochet in same st as sl st. Ch 3, dc in next 2 loops (one loop each motif). Continue crochet ch 3, dc in 2 loops together until end.

On the other side of 1st motif crochet all loops together with sl st. Do the same on 2nd motif. Sl st through both sl sts to join the two motifs together. Do not cut the endings of the yarns as they create the ‘arms’ of the jellyfish.

In 15 ch sp crochet: (ch 5, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc) x 3, ch 5, in 12 ch sp crochet: 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc, ch 5, in 9 ch sp crochet: 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc, ch 5, in 6 ch sp crochet: 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc, ch 5, in 3 ch sp crochet: 1 sc, sc in next 3 sts, 1n 18 ch sp crochet: 24 sc, sl st in 3rd ch in next 5 ch sp. Turn. Fold 18 ch sp over and sl st in 4th sc on 18 ch sp.
Round 5. Continue crochet over the 18 ch sp again as follows: (ch 3, sk 1 sc, sl st in next sc) x 10, fold 18 ch sp so that it lays flat on top of crochet piece. Secure with sl st in next st.
Round 6. Ch 5, sl st in next st through both layers, sl st to 5 ch sp, sl st in 5 ch sp. In 5 ch sp: (ch 3, sl st) x 3, ch 5, dtr on top of 5 ch sp, tr in tr, dc in dc, sc in sc, (ch 10, tr in tr, dc in dc, sc in sc) x 2, turn.
Round 7. Sc in next 3 sts, sl st in 10 ch sp. In 10 ch sp crochet: (ch 3, sl st, ch 6, sl st) x 7, sc in next 3 sts, sl st in next 10 ch sp. In 10 ch sp crochet: 6 sc, ch 6, sl st, 6 sc. Sl st in next st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Wrap yarn around the frame. If you run out of yarn, tie some more yarn to the end of the last yarn, and continue wrapping.

Tie the beginning yarn piece with end yarn piece when you have wrapped all the way around the frame. Attach hook with a slip stitch.

Crochet around heart shape as follows: (Ch 3, 1 sc) x 24, end with

Round 1: (Ch 3, 1 sc) x 24, end with sl st in 1st ch 3.

Round 2: In ch-3 sps crochet: (1 sc, 1 dc, 1 tr, ch 3), continue around all ch-3 sps, sl st in foundation wrap.  Fasten off. Tie in ends.

This pattern uses the sacred number 6 to create the sacred number 108. Basically, you will repeat the number 6 x 18 to create the holy number 108.

Crochet Instructions

This Crochet Pattern uses US crochet stitches. 

In this pattern you will use single crochet stitches, slip stitches, chains, and picot stitches.

Begin by crochet 6 sc over the cord, sl st in 1st sc to form a ring.

Round 1. (Ch 6, sl st in sc) x 6.

Round 2. In each 6-ch sp crochet: 3 sc + 6 ch picot st+ 3 sc.  (All up you have now crochet 108 sts). Fasten off. Weave in ends with a sewing needle.

Attach this motif to your 3rd eye while meditating. You can use vaseline to temporary stick this motif to your 3rd eye.

Free Crochet tutorial and crochet pattern

You can make this crochet pattern as big or small as you like. The trick to this pattern is to make the final crochet stitches the round before decreasing to be multiple by 10. In this example, you will crochet until you have 50 sts. When you then start to decrease you will do so in a way that creates the heart shape. You can change colors as many times as you like to give this bowl its own individual touch. It is also up to you what type of yarn you would like to use.

Moss crochet stitch is a very easy stitch. The only stitches you will be using are single crochet stitch and chain stitch.

Crochet Instructions

Make an odd number of chains.

Row 1. 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1 sc in next ch*, repeat between ** to end, ch 1, turn.

Row 2. *Sc in next ch-sp, ch 1*, repeat between ** to end, ch 1 turn.

Row 3. Repeat row 2.

Crochet ring pattern using Moss stitch

With Blue.

Ch 11,

Row 1. 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1 sc in next ch*, repeat between ** to end, ch 1, turn.

Weave in the end of the yarn each side to opposite side of edge as picture shows. Tie the yarn together at the back to fit your finger.

Crochet Amigurumi Whale Pattern

Crochet Body.

Ch 6, attach with sl st to form ring.

Round 1. Ch 1, sc in every ch around, sl st in ch 1.

Round 2. Ch 1, *sc + ch 1* in every sc around, sl st in ch 1.

Round 3 – 4. Sc in every sts around. Fill in stuffing.

Round 5. 2 sc tog until hole is closed. Do not fasten off.

Continue Crochet Fluke still attached to body of whale.

Crochet Fluke:

Ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 sc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 sc, sl st in next ch (same ch as last sc before ch 4), sc in each ch back to body, sl st in base of body. Fasten off.

Red yarn to stitch mouth. 

Glue the Eyes on.

Make 4 identical pieces. 

Row 1. Ch 5, in 5th ch from hook. Turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, 9 tr in 3 ch sp, sk 1 dtr, in 4 ch at beg of row 1, turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, 9 tr in 3 ch sp, sk 1 dtr, in sp before next tr, sk 2 tr, sl st in next tr. Fasten off.

Attach 2 pieces together as picture shows.

The 4 pieces create 2 pieces that are put on top of each other. Attach with double yarn a sl st in each end. Have enough length each side to tie bracelet around your wrist.

This pattern creates a heart shaped crochet basket. I had 2 heart shaped motifs that came off my beach slippers and decided to use them in my next crochet project in the new ‘from trash to treasure’ series.

Crochet hook size 3.0

A heart shaped figure to put in the basket (optional)

Crochet yarn between 4-6 ply

Make 2 identical.

Ch 4,

Row 1. 10 tr in 4th ch from hook. Turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, 1 tr in next 4 tr, 2 tr in next tr, 1 tr in next 5 tr. Turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, 2 tr in same st as ch 3, 3 tr in next st, *(3 tr in next tr)x 2, ch 3, sk 1 tr*, repeat between ** 3 times, turn.

Row 4. 1 dc in every sts across, 1 picot in 2nd ch of the 3rd 3-ch sp, turn.

Row 5. 2 dc tog across to end. Continue to crochet across the top of heart with 1 dc in 3 tr sps, 1 sl st in 4th ch from row between 1 (middle st) , 1 dc in 3 tr sps, turn.

Row 6. Sl st to sl st row 5, ch 4, sl st in sl st. Fasten off.
