This is a beautiful Swan made up of Bullion stitches. If you make 2, you can wear them as earrings.

In this pattern, the Bullion stitches are made this way: Wrap yarn 8 times around the hook, insert hook in stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1.

In this pattern I use US stitch abbreviations.

I used hook size 2.5 mm for this project and 4 ply yarn.

Crochet Swan Pattern

Step 1. Chain 3, turn, 10 bullion stitches in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in 1st bullion stitch to create a circle.

Step 2. Chain 10, turn, 1 dc in 3rd chain from hook, in same ch as last st crochet: 1 tr + 1 dtr + 1 ttr, turn. Crochet back to tip of turning chain using slip stitches.

Step 3. Make beak: chain 3 picot. Slip stitch back the neck of swan, end with 1 sl st in bullion st. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make tail.

Make a slip knot, crochet 1 bullion stitch over the cord. Fasten off and attach to swan. Weave in the ends.

How to do the bullion block stitch: Ch 3, yo and insert hook around ch 3, pull through yarn so you have 3 loops on hook, repeat 3 more times, yo and pull through all loops on hook, sl st in same st as ch 3. 

149 chainless sc cord. This video explains how you can crochet a chainless single crochet cord.

*1 bullion block st, 1 hdc in next 2 sc, sl st in next st*, rep to end, end with 1 bullion block st in last sc. Attach to Sandal as follow. Stitch bullion block number 65 in corner bullion of sandal. Skip 19 bullion block stitches on cord. Stitch next bullion block stitch after you skipped 19 bullion block stitches to the other corner bullion block stitch of sandal. Slip your foot into the opening and weave your toes into the opening in the front of the sandal. Use the cord to tie around your foot. This pattern uses a lot of Bullion block stitches.

I made a beautiful clay pendant that I needed a frame for. I had some 28 gauge copper wire and a crochet hook size 1.0 mm. I began by crochet chain 3, then turn and 11 dc in 3rd ch from hook (US stitches). If you get confused between US and UK stitches, don’t worry. US double crochet is UK treble. Easy :)

Each round you increase by either 2 dc in each dc or every 2nd dc until the frame is the same size as your pendant.

Then I added an extra row where I did 1 dc in each dc and then I folded it over the edge of the pendant.

At this stage I am crocheting while the pendant is inside the frame and I crochet 2 dc tog with sc.

I fold the stitches over the pendant to hold it in place as much as possible.

I added some diamantin crystals to the dragon pendant.

Crochet Bridal Choker Necklace Instruction.

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Set the Heirloom on 3rd smallest setting.

Step 1. 60 loops each side with sc in the middle.

Step 2. Take work off the loom. Crochet as follows one side: *10 loops tog with sc, fasten off, sk 10 loops*, repeat between ** to end.  Crochet as follows other side: *sk 10 loops, 10 loops tog with sc, fasten off*, repeat between ** to end. Make sure the 10 loops together is directly opposite the 10 loose loops.

Step 3. Fold the 10 loops together diagonally across to opposite side 10 loops together and connect them with 3 x sc around the scs that held the 10 loops together originally (this is called a 10 loops tog fold). Fasten off. Fold all 10 loops together the same way. Crochet free loops together as follows: (3 loops tog with sc, ch 5) x repeat until you reach a 10 loops tog fold, ch 5, 3 sc in 3 sc, ch 5, continue crochet 3 loops tog with sc + ch 5.

Step 4. Crochet other side as follows: Attach yarn in 10 loops tog fold with 3 sc, ch 5, (3 loops tog with sc, ch 5) x rep until the next 10 loops tog fold, 3 sc in 10 loops tog fold, ch 5. Rep to end. Fasten off.

Step 5. Crochet border. Reattach yarn in 3 loops tog with sc, hdc in same st, 3 ch picot in same st, 8 hdc in every 5 ch sp, hdc + 3 ch picot in sc holding 3 loops together, continue until you get to 10 loops tog fold, then sk 1 sc, hdc + 3-ch picot in middle sc, sk sc, 8 hdc in 5 ch sp. Repeat until you have crochet border all around. Fasten off. Weave in end.

Attach a string of yarn in the outer 3-ch picots. Attach the strings together at the back of neck. Congratulations on finishing the Crochet Choker Necklace.

This Jellyfish Crochet Pattern uses UK stitch abbreviation.

Don’t know how to Hairpin Crochet. Learn the hairpin crochet technique here. 

With green yarn and heirloom on 2nd smallest setting crochet 13 loops each side and attach with dc each time you flip the loom. Make 2 motifs with 13 loops each side. Attach one of the sides of the first motif along one of the sides the second motif by sl st one loop together each side. Secure with single crochet in same st as sl st. Ch 3, dc in next 2 loops (one loop each motif). Continue crochet ch 3, dc in 2 loops together until end.

On the other side of 1st motif crochet all loops together with sl st. Do the same on 2nd motif. Sl st through both sl sts to join the two motifs together. Do not cut the endings of the yarns as they create the ‘arms’ of the jellyfish.

Moss crochet stitch is a very easy stitch. The only stitches you will be using are single crochet stitch and chain stitch.

Crochet Instructions

Make an odd number of chains.

Row 1. 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1 sc in next ch*, repeat between ** to end, ch 1, turn.

Row 2. *Sc in next ch-sp, ch 1*, repeat between ** to end, ch 1 turn.

Row 3. Repeat row 2.

Crochet ring pattern using Moss stitch

With Blue.

Ch 11,

Crochet butterfly bracelet pattern

Make 4 identical pieces. 

Row 1. Ch 5, in 5th ch from hook. Turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, 9 tr in 3 ch sp, sk 1 dtr, in 4 ch at beg of row 1, turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, 9 tr in 3 ch sp, sk 1 dtr, in sp before next tr, sk 2 tr, sl st in next tr. Fasten off.

Attach 2 pieces together as picture shows.

The 4 pieces create 2 pieces that are put on top of each other. Attach with double yarn a sl st in each end. Have enough length each side to tie bracelet around your wrist.

This pattern creates a heart shaped crochet basket. I had 2 heart shaped motifs that came off my beach slippers and decided to use them in my next crochet project in the new ‘from trash to treasure’ series.

Crochet hook size 3.0

A heart shaped figure to put in the basket (optional)

Crochet yarn between 4-6 ply

Make 2 identical.

Ch 4,

Row 1. 10 tr in 4th ch from hook. Turn.

Row 2. Ch 3, 1 tr in next 4 tr, 2 tr in next tr, 1 tr in next 5 tr. Turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, 2 tr in same st as ch 3, 3 tr in next st, *(3 tr in next tr)x 2, ch 3, sk 1 tr*, repeat between ** 3 times, turn.

Row 4. 1 dc in every sts across, 1 picot in 2nd ch of the 3rd 3-ch sp, turn.

Row 5. 2 dc tog across to end. Continue to crochet across the top of heart with 1 dc in 3 tr sps, 1 sl st in 4th ch from row between 1 (middle st) , 1 dc in 3 tr sps, turn.

Row 6. Sl st to sl st row 5, ch 4, sl st in sl st. Fasten off.

My inspiration for this crochet pattern is the wonderful waterlily. This pattern kind of happened while I was trying to make something else, as it often does, and I quickly had to assemble this gorgeous crochet flower bracelet. This crochet pattern is very easy to make. You can use old scrap yarn as I did, and a couple of old buttons laying around (if you have any).

Materials: 

You can use any type yarn you like as long as it is fluffy and a bit chunky.

Crochet hook size 4.0 and 3.0

Two buttons of your choice.

First crochet motif

Round 1. Ch 1. 10 dc in ch. Join with sl st in 1st dc.

Round 2. Ch 3, 2 dtr in same st, *1 picot on top of last dtr, ch 4, 3 dtr in next st*, repeat 10 times, end with ch 4, sl st on top of ch 3.

Second crochet motif

Round 1. Ch 1. 6 dc in ch. Join with sl st in 1st dc.

Round 2. Ch 3, 2 dtr in same st, *1 picot on top of last dtr, ch 4, 3 dtr in next st*, repeat 6 times, end with ch 4, sl st on top of ch 3.

Third Crochet motif

Round 1. Ch 1. 10 dc in ch. Join with sl st in 1st dc.

Round 2. Ch 3, 2 dtr in same st, *1 picot on top of last dtr, ch 4, sk 1 st, 3 dtr in next st*, repeat 5 times, end with ch 4, sl st on top of ch 3.

Assemble crochet pattern

Assemble motif 2 on top of motif 1, and motif 3 on top of motif 2. Attach a button in the middle to hold all the motifs together. Use a long string of same yarn, and attach from bottom of motif 1 and through the middle to the top of motif 3, through the button, and down again through the bottom of motif 1. Use same string and chain 20 ch with crochet hook size 3, attach a button to end of ch 20.

I love crochet on the heirloom. It has become something of an obsession. This crochet pattern was made while experimenting on the heirloom and using beads for decoration. I trust you will have fun making this crochet heirloom pattern.

Crochet hook size 3.0 and 1.o.

Yarn: Fayette 60 % Superwash wool + 40 % Polyamide.

Crochet instruction step by step.

Round 1. 1 sc each loop until 3 loops each side: 3 loops together with 1 sc. 3 loops together every round (each sc ends up one loop above the last). After 8 loops each side remove work from heirloom.

Round 2. Pull 2 loops through previous 2 loops twice. Repeat other side. Insert 2 loops through a bead (as picture 1 and picture 2 show) using crochet hook size 1.0.

Round 3. Attach yarn to 2 loops with sc. *Attach to next 2 loops with sc*, continue between ** until all loops are connected, 1 sl st opposite side to tighten the gap. End with 1 picot in sl st.

Go to a special place where you feel like you can connect with nature and look for a rock to put inside your crochet pendulum. You can also use gemstones and crystals. The rock will give your pendulum weight which is important for it to work properly.

This crochet necklace is inspired by the beautiful beaches of Western Australia. I was fortunate enough to have 4 months in Mandurah and Busselton, Western Australia where my husband was working. I picked pippi shells on the beach and decided to turn them into a beach-crochet-shell necklace! Here is a step by step crochet tutorial how you can make your very own crochet shell necklace.

Round 1. *1 picot in sl st, 1 picot in every 5th ch, sl sts between chs, sl st in top of 1st picot*. Do not fasten off. Ch 15, repeat between **. Ch 2, turn, sk 1 st other half, 1 sl st, *ch 2, sk 1 st on other half, 1 sl st in next st*, repeat 5 times. Turn. Sl st in nearest picot.

Assemble your crochet necklace as described below.

Put your shells inside. Repeat process until all your shells are inside the little pockets. Sl st across all of pieces to attach them. If some Shells are loose inside the pockets, sk 1 sts, and sl st in next st to tighten up.

You are bound to attract some attention wearing these chunky earrings! This is another heirloom crochet obsessed project where I started freestyling on the loom and something magical appeared. I love these chunky earrings as they are very colorful and cheeky, not to mention FUN. You can almost knock yourself out wearing them!

Make 2.

Special stitches: Bobble stitch (create using 5 tr tog) and Picot stitch. 

This crochet pattern uses UK stitch abbreviation.

This heirloom crochet pattern starts with creating 15 loops each side on loom.

Start with connecting first 2 loops with 1 x sc each, then 3rd loops together with (sc + bobble st), * continue crochet 3 loops together with sc, and every 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and 15th loops together with (sc + bobble st). You now have 15 loops and 5 bobble stitches. Remove work from loom.

Continue crochet as follows:

Insert hook through all 15 loops one side and connect them with 1 x sc. Now use remaining yarn from the first loop of the heirloom work and insert it through the 15 loops the other side. Attach with sc. Reinsert hook in sc other side and turn work inside out,  sl st in sc you just created opposite side. 1 x picot in sl st. Push the bobble stitches through the bottom if they aren’t already popping out. Fasten off. Attach earring studs. You have now made your own divine heirloom crochet earrings. Congratulations!

Hairpin crochet necklace with beads tutorial

This is a Native American inspired Heirloom Crochet necklace that I absolutely love. It is decorated with beautiful beads and a large feather. I used a feather bought in the craft store, however you can also use feathered found in nature.

Special stitches: Picot stitch. 

Crochet Materials

Heirloom.

Crochet hook size 3.0 and 1.0.

Yarn: Fayette 60 % Superwash wool + 40 % Polyamide.

A feather.

Beads.

Crochet Hairpin Necklace tutorial:

This heirloom work has 44 loops each side. Use the widest option on the heirloom.

Round 1: 1 sc each loop until 3 loops each side: 3 loops together with 1 sc. 3 loops together every round (each sc ends up one loop above the last as picture 1 shows). After 44 loops each side remove work from heirloom.

Round 2: Connect 44 loops one side with 1 sc + 1 sl st in same sc. 1 picot in same spot (this is where you will attach necklace chain).

Round 3: Crochet across other side of the 44 loops as follows: 2 x 2 loops together with a bead. Use crochet hook size 1.0 to pull the 2 loops through the beads (see picture 2), continue until all 22 pair of loops have a bead on them. *Ch 5, insert hook through 2 loops, pull next 2 loops through previous 2 loops as picture 3 shows, attach with sc in loops you are pulling through*, continue across to end. Turn.

Round 4: Ch 3, picot, *sl st to next sc on top of 2 loops, ch 3-picot in sc*, continue across. Fasten off.

Optional. Attach feather. Insert feather through back of stitch and into bead.

*Crochet 6 dc over a double cord. Turn. Sk 1 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc*, repeat 5 times. Sl st in 1st ch 6 to complete circle.

Dc over the foundation cord to the 6 peaks of circle. Picot in peaks. Fasten off.

Attach your favourite earrings by piercing through the wool.
