This crochet doll will capture the hearts of both young and old.

Creating a crochet paperweight doll requires neat crochet stitching as you will fill the inside with rice. I also line the inside with fillings. This doll got decorated with beautiful craft flowers.

Crochet Materials

Crochet hook size 1.9 mm

100 % cotton in light blue.

Sewing needle (to assemble and weave in ends).

Scissors

Crochet Barbie Trousers pattern step by step with pictures.

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Make 2 identical motifs.

Each mortif is one leg of the trousers. Row 12-15 shapes the back and front of the upper part of the trousers.

Row 1. 40 chainless single crochet. Turn.

Row 2-5. 1 sc in each sc. Turn.

Row 6. 1 sc in next 30 sc. Turn.

Row 7 – 9. 1 sc in 30 sc. Turn.

Row 10. 1 sc in 15 sc. Turn.

Row 11. 1 sc in 15 sc. Do not turn.

You will now begin to shape what will be the back of the trousers.

Row 12. 2 hdc in last sc, 1 hdc in each sc up to the top of row 6. Turn.

Row 13. (Skip 1 hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc) x 2, 1 hdc in every hdc to end, do not crochet in the sc. Turn.

Row 14. 1 hdc in hdc. Fasten off.

You will now begin to shape the front of the trousers.

Row 15. Reattach yarn in first sc opposite side (row 1), 1 sc innext 8 sc, turn.

Row 16 – 17. 1 sc in 8 sc. Turn. Fasten off after row 17.

Row 12 to 17 shapes the upper part of the trousers. When you assemble the trousers, stitch row 17 together at the front. Begin stitching row 14 together at the back, but only halfway down the row 14. Tuck the remaining half of row 14 in and stitch to the front trouses.

Wrap the length of trousers around the legs and stitch together. Fold the end of trousers up around the ankles to give the appearence of a heamed seam.

How to crochet barbie outfits

Crocheting Barbie outfits are easy, but you will ahve to use a very small hook and quite fine yarn. I use 100 % cotton and 1.9 mm yarn.

In this post, I gave Elsa a remake. I also made her a wig. In a previous barbie makeover, I stitched yarn directly to the barbie head (see image below), but this time, I made a wig using doll hair.

Use 100 % cotton in white and pink. Use a crochet hook size 4.00 mm. This pattern uses UK stitch abbreviations. Below is a UK to US stitch abbreviation.

Begin crochet the Sole.

Starting at center with White, ch 26.

1st Rnd: 7 dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across, 8 dc in last ch, working along opposite side of starting chain, dc in each ch across. Join with sl st to top of starting chain.

Repeat from * around. Join to 3rd ch of ch-5.

4th Rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * 3 sc in next sp, sc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

UPPER

Attach White to same place as sl st, ch 41, skip 15 sc, sl st in next sc.

1st Rnd: Sc in next 10 sc, half dc in next sc, dc in next 9 sc, half dc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc, sc in each ch around. Join.

This crochet Mermaid is made in a very peculiur manner. Instead of crocheting rows and rounds, I crochet a chainless single crochet cord. The chainless single crochet cord was shaped into the different Mermaid parts and stitched together using a sewing needle. The head, arms, and torso was made this way. The Mermaid tail was created by stitching together yarn that was already folded into loops. This type of yarn is called Loopy Yarn.

Crochet Materials

Crochet hook size 2.0

Crochet yarn: 100 % Acrylic 4 ply in light pink(body), red (hairband and mouth), black (eye), yellow, green (for the bikini), and white(eye). Loopy Yarn for Mermaid tail.

Crochet Mermaid Step by Step.

Begin creating a Chainless SC cord and turn it into a round ball as the image below shows. Create another Chainless SC cord (about 15 scs long) and at the end crochet fingers as follows: ch 2, turn and sl st in last sc, ch 2, turn, and sl st in same sc). Make 2 arms. Crochet torso by folding a long Chainless SC cord into half. Crochet breast by folding a shorter cord the same way. Fasten the cords into place using a sewing needle. Stitch the body parts together.

When you crochet nose, you simple crochet: ch 2, turn, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Use a sewing needle and stitch it into a ball and attach it to face using sewing needle. Stitch the eyes by creating the eyeball the same way you made the nose. Stitch on black using a sewing needle. Stitch on eyelids. Stitch on a mouth.

Attach hair the same way you would tassels.

Crochet Polish Star Pattern is an advanced pattern, due to the weaving of the chain loops to create the Star shapes. The weaving technique will be shown in a video. Free Giraffe Amigurumi Pattern

For some reason, I had this image in my head of a Giraffe wearing a tutu dress and pink booties! This meant of course that I had to make it into a reality. This pattern has been an ongoing project since Christmas and it is now July. For some reason, it took forever to finish. It is the biggest Amigurumi piece I have ever made. I think I will stick to smaller patterns for a while. I did love making it though, and I could finally use up the doll hair I had laying around. The curly doll hair is the icing of this cute giraffe. I also love the fake eyelashes. The head will need to be leaning on something to stay up as the long neck can’t stay upright on its own. The Giraffe is great as a decoration for your home, so give it a go.

Crochet Giraffe Pattern

You will need:

4 x coat-hangers without the hook

915 mm Balsa Wood Dowel

Crochet hook size 4.0 mm, 3.00 mm, 1.25 mm. 

Yarn: yellow, blue, black, white, pink, white, multicolored, brown, and red 4 ply in 100 % Acrylic

Doll hair. 

Fake eyelashes.

A sewing needle.

Scissors.

Giraffe legs. Make 4. Use the coat-hangers as legs and crochet around them as follows:

With yellow: ch 62, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in every chain to end. Continue 3 more rows and crochet 1 sc in each sc. Fold over the coat-hanger and stitch together.

Giraffe body. Back + Neck in one go.

Back: Begin by crochet 2 circles.

Row 1. Ch 3, 10 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3. When you have made 2 circles this way, attach with sl st and crochet 6 sc across the circle in 6 dc and then continue onto the next circle with 6 sc in 6 dc. Turn.

Row 2 – 6. 1 sc in 12 sc. Turn.

Row 7 – 10. 2 sc tog, 1 sc in remaining sc until last 2 sc, 2 sc tog. Turn.

Row 11- 17. 1 sc in sc. Turn.

Row 18. 2 sc tog across. Turn.

Neck: Row 19 – 135. You now have 2 sc. Continue crochet 1 sc in each 2 sc each row. Turn.

Fasten off after round 135.

Tummy + the other side of neck.

Tummy: Chain 12, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in remaining chs. Turn.

Row 2 – 7. Sc in sc. Turn.

Row 8. Ch 10, sk 4 sc, 1 sc in 5th sc, 1 sc in next 2 sc, ch 10, 1 sc in last sc. Turn.

Row 9. 1 sc in next 10 chs, sc in next 2 sc, 1 sc in next 10 chs. Turn.

Row 10. 1 sc in sc across. Turn.

Round 11. Sl st in next 5 sc, 1 sc in sc to last 5 sc. Turn.

Round 12. 1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc tog, 1 sc in next 5 sc. Turn.

Round 13. Skip 1st sc, sc in sc to last sc, skip last sc. Turn.

Round 14. Rep last row.

Round 15. 1 sc in sc across.

Round 16. Rep row 13.

Round 17-19. Rep row 15.

Round 20. Rep row 13.

Neck: Row 21 – 135. Rep row 15.

Fill body in with stuffing and use a dowel to hold up the neck. 

Giraffe Fact: Did you know Giraffes sleep less than any other mammal. They only need between 5 to 30 minutes sleep in a 24 hour interval!!!! 

Crochet Head

Round 1. Ch 3, 11 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3.

Round 2. Ch 3, 1 dc in same st as ch 3, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st*, rep round ** to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 3. Ch 3, 1 dc in same st as ch 3, 2 dc in every st to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 4. Rep round 2.

Round 5. Ch 3, 1 dc in same st as ch 3, *1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st*, rep round ** to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 6. Ch 3, 1 dc in each st to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 7. Sk 19 sts, ch 1, 1 dc in remaining sts.

Round 8. Ch 3, 1 dc in each st, 2 dc in 1-ch sp, sl st in ch 3.

Round 9. Ch 3, 1 dc in each st to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 10. Ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc tog, *1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc tog*, rep between ** to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 11 – 12. Ch 3, 1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc tog, *1 dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc tog*, rep between ** to end, sl st in ch 3.

Round 13. 2 sts tog with hdc all around.

Rep round 13 until hole is closed. Fasten off.

Crochet bottom face of Giraffe.

Re-attach yarn in unworked dc from round 7.

Round 1. Ch 2, hdc in same st as ch 2, 1 hdc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in next 2 sts, 1 hdc in next 8 hdc, 2 hdc in next sts, 1 hdc in next 2 sts, sl st in ch 2.

Round 2. Ch 2, hdc in same st as ch 2, *1 hdc in next 5 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc* rep between ** 3 times, 1 hdc in next 5 hdc, 2 hdc in last 2 hdc, sl st in ch 2.

Round 3. Ch 2, 1 hdc in each hdc to end, sl st in ch 2.

Round 4. (2 hdc tog) x 3, 1 hdc in next 5 hdc, 2 hdc in next 5 hdc, 1 hdc in next 5 hdc, (2 hdc tog) x 5, sl st in 1st st.

Round 5. Rep round 3.

Round 6. (2 hdc tog) x 5, 1 hdc in next 5 hdc, (2 hdc tog) x 7, sl st in 1st st.

Round 7. Rep round 3.

Round 8. (2 hdc tog) x 4, 1 hdc in next 4 hdc, (2 hdc tog) x 5, sl st in 1st st.

Round 9. Sl st in next st, 1 hdc in next 6 hdc. sl st in next st. Turn.

Round 10- 12. 1 hdc in 6 hdc. Turn. Fasten off at end of round 12.

Crochet Eyes. 

Make 2. 

Use black yarn and crochet hook size 3.0 mm. 

Ch 3, turn, 10 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3. Fasten off and weave in end. Use a sewing needle and white yarn and pull through some white yarn to create the shine in the eye. Stitch the eyes to Giraffe. 

Eyelids. 

Use pink yarn and stitch across the eye. Stich across both above and below the eye to give it the effect of eyelids. 

Eyelashes. 

Use fake eyelashes and stick to eyelids. 

Giraffe Horn.

Make 4 pieces and stitch 2 and 2 together.

Row 1. Ch 11, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 6 chs, 2 sc in remaining 3 chs to end, continue crochet underneath: 2 sc in next same 3 chs, 1 sc in remaining chs including turning chs.

Row 2. Sl st in next 10 sc, 2 hdc in next 6 sc, sl st in remaining scs to end. Fasten off.

Attach blue yarn at the top of Giraffe horn as picture above show. 

Giraffe Ears.

Make 4. 

Row 1. Ch 10, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in every st to end. Turn. 

Row 2. 1 sc in every sc to end, including turning ch. Turn. 

Row 3. 1 sc in every sc to end. Turn. 

Row 4. Skip 1st sc, 1 sc in next 8 sc. Turn. 

Row 5-6. 1 sc in sc to end. Turn. 

Row 7. Skip 1st sc, 1 sc to end. Turn. 

Row 8-12. 1 sc in sc to end. Turn. 

Row 13. Rep row 7. Turn. 

Row 14. 1 sc in sc to end. Turn. 

Row 15. Rep row 7. Turn. 

Row 16. Rep row 14. Fasten off. 

Stitch two and two motifs together with hdc all around. Fill in stuffing. Weave in ends. 

Ear Studs. 

Make 2. 

Use crochet hook size 3.00 mm and multicolored yarn. Ch 2, turn, 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off. Use a sewing needle and stitch into a ball. Attach to top of ears. 

Giraffe hair. 

Use curly doll hair and stitch across head using crochet hook size 1.25 mm (or any small sized crochet hook). 

Giraffe tail. 

Ch 6, turn, hdc over ch 6-cord, turn. Twist the tail and sl st in every 2nd hdc to keep the twist. Keep the loose ends and fasten off. Attach to giraffe. 

Blue spots

You decide how many blue spots you want to make. I made small ones for body, legs, and neck, and bigger ones for head. 

Small spots: Ch 2, turn, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2, turn, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off. 

Medium spots for head, cheeks, and nose: Ch 3, turn, 10 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3. Fasten off. 

Large spots: Ch 3, turn, 10 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st in ch 3. Continue 1 more round: *1 hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc*, rep between ** to end, sl st in 1st hdc. Fasten off. 

Crochet Totu dress

Special stitches: 7-loop Puff stitch: (Yo, insert hook, pull yarn through) x 3, yo and pull through all 7 loops on hook.

Made 2 hairpin motifs as below.

Use a hairpin loom on the second smallest setting. 28 loops each connected with sc in middle. Off the loom join the motifs together by connecting 1 loop each side with sc. Continue to end. Turn. In first sc, crochet *1 sc + 1 ch + 7 loop Puff stitch, sl st in same st as sc + 1 ch*, continue between ** to end. Turn.

Between Puff stitches, crochet *1 sc + 1 ch + 7-loop Puff stitch, sl st in same st as 1 sc + 1 ch*, continue between ** to end. Turn.

Crochet 1 sc + 1 ch + 3-ch picot on top of last Puff stitches made, sc in sts to next Puff stitch.

*Ch 7, sk 3-ch picot, sl st between picot*, continue between ** to end. Turn.

In 7 ch- sp crochet, * (sc, hdc, dc, tr, dtr, ttr), in next 7-ch sp crochet, (ttr, dtr, tr, dc, hdc, sc)*, rep between ** across. Fasten off.

Continue crochet in unworked hairpin loops. Attach with slip stitch. Crochet *1 sc + 1 ch + 7 loop Puff stitch, sl st in same st as sc + 1 ch, 1 sc in next loop*, continue between ** to end. Turn.

*Ch 7, turn, around 7 ch cord crochet *1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dtr, 1 ttr, sl st in next 2 sts*, rep between ** to end. Fasten off.

Crochet Booties

Make 4. 

Get the crochet booties used for this crochet giraffe here. 

Crochet scarf.

Use brown yarn and crochet hook size 3.0 mm. 

Row 1. Ch 3, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in last sc. Turn. 

Row 2. 1 sc in each sc to end (including turning ch). All up 3 sc. Turn. 

Row 3-36. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn. After the last row, fasten off and weave in ends. 

Make tassels at each end of scarf using white yarn. 

Crochet materials

100 % Acrylic yarn in yellow, blue, and pink.

Crochet hook size 4.00 mm and 2. 5 mm.

Sewing needle.

Scissors.

Crochet Booties Pattern

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation and it is intermediate skill level. 

Special stitches:

2-YO Puff stitch: Yo, Insert hook in stitch, yo, pull through, yo, insert hook into stitch, yo, pull through all loops on hook, sl st in same stitch.

With double yarn of yellow crochet 2 boots. Use crochet hook size 4.0.

1st boot.

Row 1. Ch 11, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 7 chs, 2 hdc in remaining 3 chs to end, continue crochet underneath: 2 hdc in next same 3 chs, 1 sc in remaining chs including turning chs.

Row 2. 1 sc in next 10 sc, 2 hdc in next 6 sc, 1 sc in remaining scs to end, sl st in 1 st sc.

Row 3. Ch 3, 1 dc in next 11 sts, (2 sts tog with dc) x 6, 1 dc in remaining sts, sl st in ch 3.

Row 4. 1 sc in next 9 sts, (2 sts tog with hdc) x 4, 1 sc in remaining sts, sl st in 1st sc.

Row 5. *1 2-YO Puff stitch in same st as last st, sl st in next 2 sts*, repeat between ** to end.

2nd boot.

Row 1. Ch 11, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 7 chs, 2 hdc in remaining 3 chs to end, continue crochet underneath: 2 hdc in next same 3 chs, 1 sc in remaining chs including turning chs.

Row 2. 1 sc in next 10 sc, 2 hdc in next 6 sc, 1 sc in remaining scs to end, sl st in 1 st sc. Turn.

Row 3. Ch 3, 1 dc in next 12 sts, (2 sts tog with dc) x 6, 1 dc in remaining sts, sl st in ch 3.

Row 4. 1 sc in next 10 sts, (2 sts tog with hdc) x 4, 1 sc in remaining sts, sl st in 1st sc. TURN.

Row 5. *1 2-YO Puff stitch in same st as last st, sl st in next 2 sts*, repeat between ** to end. Fasten off.

Attach blue yarn on top of dc from row 3 with sc. Ch 3, sc in next dc, repeat this all around, sl st in 1st 3-ch sp. Continue crochet in 3-ch sp as follows: ch 3 picot, sl st in same 3-ch sp, sl st in next 3-ch sp. Continue all around. Fasten off. Flower

Crochet Flower:

Use blue yarn and crochet hook size 2.5 mm.

Make 2.

With blue ch 2, turn, 10 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in in ch 2. Continue crochet over the first row with 16 hdc, sl st in 1st hdc. In next round crochet 5 ch picot, sl st in next 2 sts, continue all around.

With pink and crochet hook size 2.5 mm:

Ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in ch 2. Stitch inside the blue flower.

Stitch the flower on between the four front Puff stitch on the yellow boot.

How to crochet Doll Leg and Foot

This is a very simple pattern that shapes of an L and is the perfect shape for a doll leg and foot. If you want it to be bigger, you simply use a larger crochet hook and you increase the foundation chains. 

Crochet Material

Crochet Hook size 4.0 mm (any size will do depending on the size of your doll).

Yarn: Yellow 100 % Acrylic.

Scissors.

Sewing needle.

Crochet Doll Leg Pattern

Row 1. Ch 11, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 6 chs, 2 sc in remaining 3 chs to end, continue crochet underneath: 2 chs in next same 3 chs, 1 sc in remaining chs including turning chs.

Row 2. Sl st in next 10 sc, 2 hdc in next 6 sc, sl st in remaining scs to end. Fasten off.

Fold in half and stitch the sides together.

This pattern uses US Crochet stitch abbreviation.

Row 2. (1 sc + 1 ch) in first hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in next 3 hdc, 1 hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in turning ch.

Row 3. (1 sc + 1 ch) in first hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in next 8 hdc, 2 hdc in next 4 hdc, 1 hdc in next 8 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in turning ch.

Row 7. Skip 13 hdc and attach yarn in next hdc with a slip stitch. (1 sc + 1 ch) in same hdc, 1 hdc in next 8 hdc, turn.

Row 8. (1 sc + 1 ch) in first hdc, 1 hdc in next 8 hdc, turn.

Row 9-11. Rep row 8. At the end of row 11, fasten off.

With a sewing needle, sew row 1 together to make the sole. Skip 5 sts each side of row 6 and attach to row 11 and stitch the sides together.

Begin crochet the cuff.

Attach yarn at centre back with a slip stitch.

Round 1. (1 sc + 1 ch) in slip stitch, 1 hdc in each hdc around to last 2 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in last hdc, slip stitch in ch 1. Turn.

Round 2. With right side facing, (1 sc + 1 ch) in next hdc, 1 hdc in each hdc around, sl st in ch 1. Do not turn.

Round 3. *(1 sc + 1 ch) in next hdc, in same stitch yarn over and bring through yarn 3 times. You now have 7 loops on hook, yo and draw through 2 loops, continue drawing through 2 loops until you only have 1 loop left, slip stitch in next hdc*, Rep between ** all around. Fasten off.

Generic Crochet Sole Pattern

How to crochet Easter Bunny

Begin by crocheting the feet, then the body, then the head, the arms, and the ears. Use pink yarn.

Bunny feet. Make 2.

Use double strain. Ch 7, turn, 6 sc over 7-ch cord. Fold and stitch sides together.

Bunny body.

Row 1. Ch 5, turn, 4 hdc over the ch-cord. Stitch into a ball.

Bunny head.

Row 1. Ch 7, turn, 6 hdc over ch-7 cord. Stitch onto a ball. Stitch onto the body.

Bunny nose.

Ch 2, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Stitch into a ball using a sewing needle. Stitch to face.

Bunny arms. Make 2.

Ch 4, fasten off. roll into a ball. stitch in place using a sewing needle. Stitch the arms onto the body just below the head.

Bunny ears. Make 2.

Row 1. Ch 5, turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chs. Turn.

Row 2. 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in remaining sc to turning ch, 2 sc in turning ch. Turn.

Attach fluffy orange yarn and sc around the heart shape. Slip stitch long strings of fluffy orange yarn in picots at bottom of heart shape. Attach craft eyes. Slip stitch mouth with orange yarn.

Yarn 100 % acrylic in blue, white, pink, and brown.

Snail Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Snail body. Make 2. Chain 6, turn, 1 dc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc in next chain, sl st in next chain, turn, sl st to top of work (turning chain), chain 3, do not turn, dc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sc in next st, turn, sl st back to beginning, sl st in 1st ch. Snail head. Chain 6, turn, 2 hdc over the cord. Stitch into a ball.

Stitch the two pieces together.

Crochet eyes. Make 2. With white yarn, ch 3, 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Use a sewing needle and stitch onto a ball. Stitch on top as picture shows. Use brown yarn and a sewing needle and stitch on eyes.

Crochet nose. With blue yarn, ch 3, 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Use a sewing needle and stitch onto a ball. Stitch in the middle of the face.

Use pink yarn and stitch on mouth.

Crochet Giraffe Pattern

Use red yarn and crochet hook size 3.0 mm. Ch 8, turn, (front leg) 3 hdc over the cord taking up 2 chs. sl st in next 3 chs, (back leg) ch 6, turn, 3 hdc over the cord taking up 2 chs, sl st in next 4 ch, (neck) sl st in next 4 ch on original 8 ch cord. Crochet head: Ch 2, turn. In 2nd ch from hook crochet: 2 sc, 2 hdc, 1 dc, ch 3, sl st in last dc. Fasten off. Crochet body: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off. When you weave in, stitch it into a ball. Stitch above the back foot.

Stitch on dots. Use 1 string of yellow yarn. Tie a knot and stitch onto the giraffe. Stitch on eyes using brown yarn. Stitch on the tail using brown yarn.

Crochet Fish Skeleton Amigurumi Pattern

With white yarn and crochet hook size 2.5 mm.

Begin crochet fish head. 

Crochet row 1. Ch 3, 9 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st down last dc to 1st ch.

Begin crochet fish body and fish tail.

Crochet row 2. Ch 12, turn, 6 dc in 3rd ch from hook, turn, sl st in each dc across, dc in ch 3, sl st down ch 3, sl st in next ch.

Crochet Bones. 

Sl st in 2 chs, ch 4, turn, 4 sc around 4 ch sp, sl st in same ch (back to chain cord), ch 4, turn, 4 sc around 4 ch sp, sl st in next 3 chs towards the fish head, ch 2, turn, 2 sc around 2 ch sp, sl st in same ch (back to chain cord), ch 2, turn, 2 sc around 2 ch sp, sl st in next ch. Fasten off.

Crochet Fish Amigurumi Pattern Step by Step

This fish crochet pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Begin crochet fish head. 

Crochet row 1. Ch 3, 9 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st down last dc to 1st ch.

Begin crochet fish body and fish tail.

Crochet row 2. Ch 12, turn, 6 dc in 3rd ch from hook, turn, sl st in each dc across, dc in ch 3, sl st down ch 3, sl st in next ch.

Crochet row 3. Crochet around the remaining chs with 10 hdc, turn.

Crochet row 4. Sl st in next 4 hdc, hdc + 1 ch in same st as last sl st, tr in next hdc, dc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc, sl st in remaining hdc. Fasten off.

Crochet Fish Gill

Ch 3, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Fasten off and slip stitch below head.

Crochet Fish Eye

With black and crochet hook size 1.25 mm.

Ch 2, turn, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st into a ball. Stitch to head of fish. Use pink yarn and stitch on eye lids (use a sewing needle).

With white yarn, stitch on the white in the eye. WIth orange yarn, stitch on fish mouth.

This crochet doll didn’t exactly go to plan. In my mind, I thought it would be the cutest crochet baby ever created. But instead this crochet doll ended up looking something between Jack Jack and Chucky :D

With light pink yarn.

Crochet baby face front.

Row 1. Ch 4, 13 dc in 4th ch from hook, sl st on top of turning ch.

Row 2. Ch 3, dc in dc all around, sl st in ch 3.

Row 3. Ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc*, repeat between ** all around, sl st in ch 3.

Row 4. Ch 3, 1 dc in same st, *2 dc in next dc*, repeat between ** all around, sl st in ch 3.

Row 5. Ch 3, dc in dc around, sl st in ch 3.

Row 6. Begin crochet forehead. Sl st in next 8 dc, ch 3, dc in next 20 dc, sl st in next 8 dc, ch 3, dc in remaining dc. Turn.

Row 7. Make chin. Ch 3, dc in dc (incl. ch 3). Fasten off before sl sts begins.

Row 8. Make cheeks. Reattach yarn in next sl st, sc in 7 sl st )before dc). Turn.

Row 9. Sc in 7 sc. Fasten off.

Row 10-11. Repeat process in 7 sl st other side (row 8 and 9). Fasten off.

Row 12. Reattach yarn in 3 ch before 20 dc. Ch 3 in ch 3, dc in 6 dc, tr in next 7 dc, dc in next 7 dc. Turn.

Row 13. Ch 1, sc in 6 dc, tr in next 7 tr, sc in 7 dc. Fasten off.

Back of head. 

Row 1. Ch 4, 13 dc in 4th ch from hook, sl st in turning ch.

How to felt your crochet doll

Put your doll in with some towels into the washing machine on 90 degrees. This will shrink the wool fibres as it tumbles around in the washing machine. The towels aids in the smoothing of the wool fibers. The crochet doll will shrink and smooth out.

Crochet baby doll face

Stitch on eyes using white and black yarn. Stitch on mouth using red yarn. I used pastel sticks and turned the cheeks and nose redish, and the eyelids blue.

Crochet doll fingers and toes adjustment.

Use a sewing needle and light pink wool. Stitch the fingers and toes on by inserting the hook either side and pulling on the strings to give the impressions of fingers and toes.
