This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation. 

Sprig stitch needs a multiple of 4 sts + 2, add 1 ch for the foundation chain. In this example, chain 15.

FR. Chain 15, 2 sc in 4th ch from hook, ch 2, 2 sc in next st, *sk 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch, ch 2, 2 sc in next ch*, repeat between ** to last 2 ch, sk 1 ch, 1 sc in last ch. Turn.

Row 1. Ch 3, , in each 2-ch sp, end with 1 sc in ch 3. Turn.
