<p>Make 4:</p>
<p>Ch 23,</p>
<p>Row 1: (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in 13th ch from hook, *ch 5, sk 5 chs, (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in next ch*, repeat between ** ending with ch 5, sk 5 chs, 1 dc in last ch. Turn.</p>
<p>Row 2. Ch 7, sk 1st dc, *sk 5 chs, (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in next 3 ch sp, ch 5*, repeat between **, ending with ch 5, sk 5 ch, 1 dc in next ch. Turn.</p>
<p>Repeat row 2 x 8.</p>
<p>Sl st to middle of 3 ch sp to create thumb-hole.</p>
<p>Row 3. Chain 3, 1 tr in every sts to end. Turn.</p>
<p>Row 4. Ch 3, 1 tr in every tr ( do not crochet across thumb-hole). Turn.</p>
<p>Repeat row 4. Fasten off.</p>
<p>Attach two identical mitten pieces where thumb-hole begins at top.  Do not crochet across thumb-hole, instead continue across tr.</p>
<p>Row 5. Ch 3, 1 tr in next 10 tr, 2 tr tog x 4, 1 tr in every tr to end. Sl st in ch 3.</p>
<p>Row 6. Ch 3, 1 tr in next 10 tr, (2 tr tog) x 2, 1 tr in every tr to end, sl st in ch 3.</p>
<p>Row 7. Ch 3, 1 tr in next 10 tr, (2 tr tog) x 1, 1 tr in every tr on end, sl st in ch 3.</p>
<p>Sl st sides of mittens together. Turn inside out.</p>
<p>Picot across every opening like this:</p>
<p>*Ch 3, 1 sl st in 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in ch sp*, continue between ** across every opening.</p>
<p>Make the other mitten same way.</p>
<p>The Mittens are made too big on purpose. Decorate with safety pins and tighten them with safety pins at the same time. If you don&#8217;t want to use safety pins you can use buttons.</p>
