Scrapyarn crochet doll

crochet doll free crochet pattern doll crochet

Scrap yarn crochet doll ~ Free crochet pattern.

Every crochet enthusiast has drawers and cupboards filled with yarn. I decided to make a doll using only left over yarn. I also found some cute buttons and craft eyes. Since I used only scrap yarn, I no longer had the yarn packaging with all the yarn descriptions. To make this doll, use whatever yarn you have available and make your own version of this beautiful doll.

If you want the dinosaur to have a longer body you can prolong the body part before you begin crochet tail. If you don’t want your dinosaur so round just avoid the last round of increase (round 31).

With a sewing needle attach legs at the back of body just before tale begins.

Useful Crochet Hint.

If parts of your dinosaur has ‘holes’ in it showing stuffing due to all the decreasing (makes stitches bigger looking like holes) you can put a string of blue yarn using a sewing needle across those stitches. This fills the ‘holes’ and makes the stuffing not showing. I let some holes show because it added to the texture of the dinosaur, especially down the legs.

I used black yarn and a sewing needle and made dots on the green Bobble stitches. I also used white curly yarn and gave this dinosaur a fringe. Just little add-ons that make all the difference.

Crochet Eyes.

You can use craft eyes bought in the craft shop, however, in this example I stitched it on using a sewing needle.

Mouth.

I stitched on the mouth. You can make yours bigger if you like, but I just wanted a small mouth on this one.
