Crochet Reindeer Amigurumi Pattern

Crochet hook size 3.0 and 1. 9

Crochet yarn 4 ply brown in 80 % acrylic + 20 % wool,  100 % Acrylic in white and black (to make eyes), 100 % Acrylic in red (to make mouth).

Reindeer Crochet Amigurumi Pattern

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Begin crochet legs. Make 2.

With crochet hook size 3.0 and brown yarn.

Row 1. Ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not turn.

Row 2 – 3. Sc in 9 sts.

Row 4 – 8. Sc in 5 sc. Turn. Fasten off after row 8.

Stitch the two sides of 5 scs together with sl st using a sewing needle. Fold half way and slip stitch together. Stitch the two legs close.

Crochet torso.

Front.

Attach with yarn where 5 scs are stitched together.

Row 1. 1 sc in each scs across. Turn.

Row 2-3. Sc in 5 sc. Turn.

Row 4. Sk 1st sc, sc in next 3 sc. Turn.

Row 5. Sk 1st sc, sc in next sc. Turn.

Back.

Reattach yarn behind the torso front exactly the same way. Sl stitch sides together up to row 4 (armholes).

Crochet arms

Make 2.

Row 1. Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Row 2. Sc in each sc across.

Row 3-7. Sc in 4 sc. Turn.

Shoulder. Row 8. Sk 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc. Fasten off. Fold in half and sl st tog with a sewing needle. Attach to armhole opening.

Crochet Reindeer Head

Row 1. Ch 4, turn, sc in every ch 4. Turn.

Row 2. 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (6). Turn.

Row 3. Sc in each sc. (6). Turn.

Row 4. 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (8). Turn.

Row 5. Sc in sc across. (8). Turn.

Row 6. Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in last 3 sc. (10). Turn.

Crochet Reindeer Ears

Make 2. Use crochet hook 1.9.

Ch 4, sc in 4 chs, continue to crochet underneath, 4 sc in 4 sts, sl st in same sc as last sc. (8).

Crochet Antlers. 

Make 2.

Ch 7, turn, 3 sc around 7-ch sp, ch 2, sl st in same ch as beg of ch 2, 6 sc around nex 3 chs, ch 2, sl st in same ch as beg of ch 2, 3 sc in remaining chs.

Stitch to top of head.

Crochet Eyes. 

Make 2. Use crochet hook size 1.9 and white yarn.

Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Fasten off through ch 3. Sl st on head. Stitch pupils using black yarn. Use brown yarn and stitch on eyelids.

Stitch on nose using a sewing needle and black yarn.

Use feathery brown yarn and slip stitch ‘hair’ on top of the reindeer’s head.
