Crochet yarn: Panda premium acrylic in green. The rest of the pattern was created using scrap yarn. Curly white yarn to make hair, pink yarn to make the mouth. Purple yarn to make the headband.

2 x Craft eyes.

Crochet Octopus Free Pattern Instructions

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviation.

Crochet Octopus head and body.

With Green Panda Premium Acrylic yarn.

Ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to form a ring.

Round 1. 9 sc in ring, sl st in1st st.

Round 2. 2 sc in every sc to end.

Round 3. Sc in sc around.

Round 4. Repeat round 2 + 3.

Round 5-10. Sc in sc around.

Round 11. *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc tog*, repeat between ** around.

Round12-13. Sc in sc around.

Round 14. Repeat round 11.

Round 15-16. Sc in sc around.

Round 17. 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in remaining sc.

Round 18. 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in remaining sc.n

Round 19. Sc in sc around.

Crochet Octopus tentacles.

Round 27. Sc in next 4 sc, turn, sk 7 sc, sl st in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, turn, sl st in 8th sc of round 26, sc in next 4 sc, sk next 3 sc other side, sl st in 4th sc, continue by repeating the process, creating 8 x 8 sc circles.

Crochet around the 1st and 8th 8-sc circles using tentacle-1 pattern, and crochet around 8-sc circles 2-7 using tentacle-2 pattern.

1st 8-sc circle. Tentacles-1.

Crochet Octopus eye sockets (make 2)

With Green Panda Premium Acrylic yarn.

Ch 4, sl st in ch 1 to form a ring.

Row 1. Ch 3, 6 dc in ring.

Row 2. Ch 1, sc in same st as ch 1, sc in next 6 sts. Fasten off.

Attach eyes with a sewing needle on the Octopus where two rings on the picture below show.

Now it is time to dress up the Octopus. Use curly white yarn to make hair. Attach the hair in the 1st round of making the Octopus. Then dress up the Octopus with a headband. In this case, I used a headband I made earlier, the SpiderWeb headband. Click here to see this pattern.

Glue two craft eyes inside the eye sockets you made.

Below eyes stitch a string of pink yarn to make the mouth.

Vola, your crochet Octopus is finished.
