Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern ~ Little Piggy

This pattern is inspired by my favourite muppet; Miss Piggy 🙂

Crochet Material:

4 ply yarn, the colour of your choice, orange fluffy yarn.

Crochet hook size 3.0.

Sewing needle.

Craft eyes.

Scissors.

Crochet Stitches

This pattern uses US stitch abbreviations.

Chains (ch)

Slip stitch (sl st)

Single crochet (sc)

Half Double crochet (hdc)

Crochet Instructions

Crochet head

Round 1. Ch 5, sl st in 1st ch. 11 hdc in ring.
Round 2. Ch 2, hdc in hdc around, sl st in ch 2.
Round 3. Ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each hdc around, sl st in ch 2.
Round 4. Ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in next 4 hdc, hdc in rest of hdc, sl st in ch 2.
Round 5 + 6 + 7. Ch 2, hdc in each hdc around, sl st in ch 2.
Round 8. Ch 2, hdc in next 9 hdc, (2 hdc tog, hdc in next hdc) x rep all around, sl st in ch 2.
Round 9. Ch 2, hdc in hdc around, sl st in ch 2. Fill in stuffing.
Round 10. (2 sts tog with sc, sc in next st) x rep around to end, sl st in ch 2.
Rep round 10 until hole is closed. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Make eye sockets

Attach yarn to a sewing needle, and pull yarn through the back, through where the eye will be, and through the back again. Tighten yarn to make the eye socket. Pin the eyes in where you made the eye sockets.

Crochet body

Ch 5, attach with sl st to form ring.
Round 1. 10 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2-6. Ch 1, sc in sc, sk ch 1, sl st in sc.

Fill in stuffing.

Round 7. (2 sc tog, sc in next sc) x continue all around, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 8. 2 sc tog until hole is closed. Fasten off.
Begin crochet neck.
Round 1. Ch 1, * 2 sc in next st, sl st in next st*, repeat between ** all around, end with sl st in ch 1.
Round 2-4. Ch 1, Sc in sc, sl st in sl st all around, sl st in ch 1.

Attach body to underneath the head.

Crochet Arms (make 2)

Ch 5, sl st in ch 1 to form ring.
Round 1. 7 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2-9. sc in sc, sl st in sc.

Attach round 9 to side of neck. Fasten off and weave in ends. Continue crochet the other end of arms to make the fingers.

Begin crochet hand and fingers.

Attach yarn with sl st through both sides of foundation row to close the opening.
Row 1. 5 sc across opening foundation row.
Row 2-4. Sc in next 5 sc. Fasten off.

Crochet Legs (make 2)

Ch 5, sl st in ch 1 to form ring.
Round 1. 10 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2-6. Ch 1, sc in sc, sk ch 1, sl st in sc.

Fill in stuffing.

Round 7. (2 sc tog, sc in next sc) x continue all around, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 8. 2 sc tog until hole is closed. Fasten off. Attach this side to side of chin.
Reattach yarn in foundation ch with a sl st and crochet fingers or toes.

Crochet toes

Round 1. Ch 1, * 2 sc in next st, sl st in next st*, repeat between ** all around, end with sl st in ch 1.
Round 2. Ch 1, Sc in sc, sl st in sl st all around.
Round 3. Sc in next 2 sc, (ch 3, sc in next sc) x 4, sc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next sc, sl st in next sc. Fasten off.
Attach legs to side of body.

Crochet Coffee Cup

Ch 5, attach with sl st to form ring.
Round 1. 10 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.
Round 2-6. Ch 1, sc in sc.

Fill in stuffing to act as coffee froth.

Crochet cup handle

Row 1. Ch 7, sl st in 1st sc foundation round.
Row 2. 12 sc in 7 ch sp. Fasten off.
Attach left hand through coffee handle with a sl st. Attach right hand on side of coffee mug with sl sts.

Attach a toothpick from mouth to coffee cup.
