How to crochet the Irish Fan

Crochet 20 dc over a triple cord foundation, 1 sl st in the 1st dc, 1 dc in the 2nd dc. (ch 3, 1 dc in next dc) x 7, turn, ch 5, 1 dc in 3 ch sp, (ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 ch sp) x 6, turn, ch 4, 1 dc in the next 3 ch sp, (ch 2, 1 dc in the next 3 ch sp) x 6, ch 1, turn, crochet over a single cord foundation 3 dc on the 1st 6 loops and 2 dc in the last loop, ch 1, turn. Make over the cord foundation 20 dc on the two horizontal loops of the bottom dc stitches. Cut the cord foundation and turn the work. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 2nd dc, (ch 3, 1 dc in the 2nd dc) x 9, turn, ch 5, 1 dc in the 1st 3 ch sp, (ch 3, 1 dc in the next 3 ch sp) x 9, turn, ch 4, 1 dc in the 1st loop, (ch 2, 1 dc in next 3 ch sp) x 9, ch 1, turn. Crochet 30 dc over the cord foundation on the lower dc stitches. Cut the cord foundation and turn the work. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 2nd dc, (ch 3, 1 dc in the 2nd dc) x 14, *turn, ch 5, 1 dc in the 1st ch 3 sp, (3 ch, 1 dc in next ch 3 sp) x 14*, repeat between **. Fasten off.
